You Will Not Be Eligible for a Benefit if Your Primary Source of Income Is Social Security
Some Social Security participants may be eligible for this program as a whole if they have additional sources of income. If you live in California and are a legal resident, you must also file your tax return for the year 2020 by October 15, 2021.
Between September 1 and October 31, 2021, the great majority of direct deposit stimulus payments were made. The California Franchise Tax Board has issued 8.5 million GSS II payments (FTB). You may have to wait up to 45 days for your tax return to be completed if you filed it after September 1, 2019.
According to the California Franchise Tax Board, a small number of tax returns are now being evaluated to see if they are qualified. ITIN filers must also complete their state returns by February 15, 2022 in order to be eligible for GSS II.
