What is the release date for Cocaine Bear? Cocaine Bear is an extremely intriguing film because it is based on a true story. The premise of the horror film is essential as described. A drug smuggler threw a duffel bag containing more than 70 pounds of cocaine out of an airplane in 1985.
The Chattahoochee National Forest straddles the state boundaries of Georgia and Tennessee and is, among other things, home to the American Black Bear. Next to a deceased bear were the fragments of a duffel bag with $15 million worth of cocaine. The animal’s cause of death was apparent, and Cocaine Bear has since been immortalized as an urban legend.

Cocaine Bear Plotline
According to The Hollywood Reporter, who received word from sources that Jimmy Warden wrote the script on spec, the film will be a “unique bear-driven horror comedy with heart.”
According to sources quoted by The Hollywood Reporter, Cocaine Bear was presented to Universal as a combination of the R-rated comedy film Good Males, which follows the outlandish escapades of teenage boys, and The Revenant.
In May 2022, Deadline provided a more specific plot summary for the film, although character information remained scant. Synopsis: “Cocaine Bear is inspired by the true incident of a drug runner’s plane crash in 1985, missing cocaine, and a black bear that ate it.”
“The film depicts a motley assortment of cops, criminals, tourists, and teenagers meeting in a Georgia forest where a 500-pound apex predator had ingested a stunning amount of cocaine and embarked on a coke-fueled spree for more blow… and blood.”
In a recent interview with The New York Times, director Elizabeth Banks stated, “It’s a fun discussion piece inspired by this insane true incident from 1985 and an opportunity to cut through some noise.”
Cocaine Bear Video Clip
The bear smoked crack cocaine. As those famous lyrics are spoken in the trailer and the bear rips a door off its hinges and continues on a drug-fueled rampage, it becomes immediately apparent that this film will exceed your expectations.
As drug traffickers in the forest attempt to reclaim the remains of their contraband, innocent bystanders flee for their life as everyone yells that a bear consumed an absurd number of cocaine. Consider it similar to Sharknado but with more bears And cocaine.

Cocaine Bear Cast And Characters
Cocaine Bear will feature iconic actor Ray Liotta, who tragically died during filming.
Although there are a number of well-known actors and actresses associated with the film, it is unknown whether any of them will portray individuals who were actually involved in the 1985 tragedy. Based on the synopsis of Deadline, it seems likely that Andrew Thornton, the drug smuggler who died when his plane’s parachute failed, will be featured in the film; however, it is unknown who the actor will play him.
In truth, it is unknown who any of the performers will depict in the film; nonetheless, we think that the core cast will consist of a motley group of individuals attempting to flee the bear’s cocaine-fueled rampage. We are aware that Ray Liotta will appear in the film posthumously, as filming for Cocaine Bear concluded prior to his passing in May 2022.

According to The Independent, a medical examiner once stated that the bear’s stomach, which had not injured anyone like the bear in the film, “was literally stuffed with cocaine.”
Apparently, the specialist continued: “Hemorrhagic stroke, respiratory failure, hyperthermia, renal failure, cardiac failure, and hyperthermia. Whatever it was, the bear had it.”
