Clayne Crawford, the son of Lennie and Brian Crawford, participated in multiple sports at Hewitt Trussville High School, including football and wrestling. After turning eighteen in 1996, he traveled from Alabama to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career; while searching for jobs and possibilities, he supported himself by working on construction sites. In 2000, he changed his name from Joseph to Clayne to honor his hometown and his Clan-named grandfather.
